PERSONALITY: On the surface, Kazuki is quite the ordinary boy. Nothing too special about him that makes him stand out in the crowd and he likes it that way. However, he is actually a boy with quite a low self-esteem. He tries his best to not make himself look like a clown or get mocked at. Thus, he seldom speaks to anyone, unless absolutely necessary or if the person is someone he is close to, fearing that he may say something that would make him look stupid. Despite his shy personality to fellow humans, he gets along better with pokemon; his loving and caring traits transcends his less-than-willing personality to speak, allowing most pokemon to still understand him. Last but not least, Kazuki will always fight for what he thinks is right, protecting and helping anyone in need, sometimes ending in him having to pay the full price for others - to some extent, naive.
APPEARANCE: Kazuki has black hair kept in a simple hair style, typical of most boys, that is, for the back. Short, but not too short. Long, yet not too long, barely touching the back of a collared shirt if he were to wear one. For the front, he has a long fringe, coming from over the left of his head, covering his right eye and cheek. Leaving only his deep brown left eye clearly visible to others. His sideburns cover most of his ears and are kept sleek and neat.
For his attire, Kazuki has a simple white, round necked, T-shirt as a top, matching his "Levi's" deep blue jeans that go right down to an inch above his heels, secured by a simple white belt that has little sockets for pokemon trainers to put their pokeballs. Hiding his bare ankles which are revealed only by his ankle socks, which in turn, lies underneath his white flat based shoes that has a single black stripe running along the side. On his hands, he has extended black half-gloves, revealing his fingers and going all the way up to a centimeter or two from his elbow. To finish the entire outfit, Kazuki dons a long black sleeveless trench coat. The coat reaches down to cover his calves and has a rather high collar that hides his mouth and part of his face when seen from the side.
HISTORY: Kazuki was born in a loving family, that was until he was about 8. His father used to be a pokemon trainer, but is now working as a businessman to support the family. While his mother is still a pokemon breeder, having a small ranch at the back of his home to house some pokemon. As far back as he could remember, Kazuki hardly knows much about his dad, who works hard day and night, being the sole breadwinner of the family, except that his dad taught him many life lessons. About how he should treat others, how he should communicate using his heart more than his mind, et-cetera. However, he understands the situation of his father and never complains. Thus, his life largely involved him helping out his mum in taking care of pokemon and learning how to communicate with them.
Naturally being shy, Kazuki used to stammer a little when he was young, his parents and relatives found it cute, but the neighbours didn't. The other kids laughed and mocked at him, making him the joke of the entire neighbourhood. For a long time, he never left home and spoke lesser and lesser with each passing day, communicating mostly with the pokemon at the ranch with mere actions and simple phrases.
When he was 8, his dad had to go on business trips, travelling from the Hoenn region to Jhoto and even Kanto, only coming back about twice in a year for about a week or so. That was when he nearly lost the love, care and affection a father could give to any other child completely. But that was not all, everything came spiraling downhill when he was 10. His mother was stressed out about not having a husband to properly bring up his child and she needed her husband to be by her side as well. The short home visits that Kazuki's father made began to become more of a war period. With his parents shelling away at each other, he just could not understand why neither of his parents could be more understanding of each other and come to some sort of compromise. His family was falling apart and he began to think of running away from home, but was afraid to do so as well.
On his 12th birthday, Kazuki's dad rushed back home and to his surprise, his parents somehow made up. Together, they presented him his very first pokemon, an Eevee that Kazuki's mother had bred with their own Umbreon and Flareon. They also encouraged him to go on a journey away from home, while they try to completely patch things up. Such that, when he came back, he would be in time to be welcomed into a happy family again. At that point of time, he did not really understand what was going on, but he still heeded his parents' advice and decided to leave the next week, after he got to know his new friend better...
